Line Up Of Leeds Festival
After the final announcements previous week from the great Futuresound and Centrestage, organizers of the show have confirmed today the complete line up for the BBC introductory stage. On the last Leeds Music Scene that was held last week, Glassbody is the only band acting on the BBC introducing stage as the winner of the centre stage 2012 at the O2 academy on Tuesday.
It was just after the closing of the Futuresound 2012 that was held at the end of the last week, Glassbody joined on the BBC Introducing stage followed up by the fellow bands of Yorkshire – Bearfoot Beware, Marsicans, Black Moth, Backyards and Frontiers.
In the previous day the line up was completed by some other local bands like Hawk Eyes, Marmozets and Crooked Tongues. Other bands that participated in the Leeds Festival are Deaf Club, Dingus Khan, Dear Prudence, Park Bench Society, Proxies, RIO, Samoans, Seasfire, Rachel Sermanni, Wet Nuns, We Walk on Ice and We Were Frontiers.
All the bands appeared at both the Leeds and Reading sites. The BBC Introducing stage has seen several debut performances from the band Leeds who then moved forward onto the Festival Republic stage this year after giving marvelous performance in the year 2011 on the BBC introducing stage.
Futuresound and Centre stage, the two bands that played well at the Leeds Festival are also selected by the BBC’s countrywide introductory shows as well as festival promoters like Festival Republic. Attention Thieves are also performing apart from working on their debut album.
